In the Photos above you can see the basic stripped car being sand blasted to remove all traces of rust. To be honest the car is in far better condition than expected, with only very minor rust to the rear arches (new welded sections installed), and the rear valance (new welded section).

The engine bay had many unused holes welded up for a smoother look popular on the VW scene.

One very solid basis for a project.
The Green primer is a self etch acid primer to resist rust, followed by the beige 2k primer below.

As you can see the underside is also painted following blasting.

If you know then engine bay on one of these cars you can tell the huge amount of smoothing work that has been completed.

This was scheduled to be a concourse type car before the customer ran out of money.
The car has been sitting under cover for some time now, and the decision has been made to sell the car. The customer for whom this was built owed us over £1100, and we are looking to recover this from the sale of the shell. Given the work completed this is a bargain.
